AI for Business

Not long ago, businesses observed trends in artificial intelligence (AI). But now AI shows up in competitors’ advertising built into software and tools businesses already pay for. I’m sure someone in your business has used ChatGPT, and the feedback about its outputs has been mixed. Use cases were either success stories or failure cases.

Figuring out what is actually worth trying and how to use it to save time and not create more work has a large learning curve that is unnecessary. That’s roughly what we help with.

Content

This is where most businesses begin. This is where many businesses see the largest time savings. AI tools help relieve the burden of structuring and writing text. Text can be used for many things including, website text, blog text, product descriptions, or resource email texts. Something must be used to review the text produced by an AI tool, as the output will always need some level of human editing to preserve quality. The difference in time produced by AI versus manually writing will always be in favor of AI.

We aim to help businesses develop a more repeatable content process. This helps businesses understand the full capabilities of the tools they use and ensures the quality and consistency of content produced.

Automating Repetitive Tasks

Dealing with regular communication, routine documentation, and repetitive drafting takes up a significant chunk of time for business personnel. AI can capture and process a substantial amount of this for the first pass. Employees then review this prior to the documentation being finalised.

The time saved from any single task may not be apparent, but the cumulative impact across the working week is significant.

Getting Started

The majority of viable AI tools include a low barrier to entry and simple implementation. Their usage typically requires less technical skill than anticipated. The more significant challenge tends to be accessing the information needed to develop the skill to interpret the outputs and gain the confidence to embrace the tools as an application and product of their work.

This is where we come in. We help to select the correct tool, help with the initial implementation, identifying what determines a successful implementation, and how the tool should be interpreted for consistent results. Without the inclusion of an instructional access guide, many tools remain underutilised and perform poorly.

Being Honest About It

Not everything shown with promise in an example yields results in practice. There’s a lot of hype and some hyperbole around AI, showing more than these tools can deliver. We will never recommend anything that isn’t useful, and if an app doesn’t work for a particular business, we’ll say that too.

We aim to help businesses use AI to gain real value. This does not mean we intend to change a business practice or methodology. For certain tasks, AI is a significant time saver. For other tasks, it is not worth the effort. Determining that for a specific business is generally the best starting point.
